Thoughts on ‘The Hobbit’

And so… I watched Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit last night, I waited until it came on DVD purely because I was worried that I would get bored and walk out, don’t get me wrong, I really like all of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ but to me, along with a lot of Peter Jackson’s films they just seem to drag a little . However, after fearing that ‘The Hobbit’ would see me looking at my phone for almost 3 hours, I only looked at my phone a few times. The first 45 minutes to an hour of the film seemed to be filled with a lot of sitting down and talking scenes, which most of the time I phased out and started talking to my friend about the costume and set design, mostly positive I might add. Although the comment “Gandalf’s hat looks like it’s made out of fuzzy felt”…
