Based on the hugely popular hit novel series by Stephanie Meyer, Twilight has somewhat become the next Harry Potter, which were such a huge worldwide success (and a large majority of screaming women) the films were inevitable.

Twilight came out in 2008/2009 and grossed over $380 million worldwide. The film itself for me was a different take on the vampire genre and set the bar pretty high for its sequels. So, as a fan of the first film, I, like MILLIONS of others were HIGHLY anticipating the second film New Moon and went into it with somewhat HIGH expectations.

New Moon picks up shortly after the final scene of Twilight. Bella’s 18th birthday, which should have been a special occasion, ends up with her avoiding death once again and Edward breaking up with here before leaving her. Jacob is Bella’s fallback as he comforts her thorugh her depression and their ‘friendship’…
